Over 11 tracks, the Belgian composer, songwriter and producer casts a tale both courageous and cautionary: the deeper you love, the heavier the despair of the world at large weighs you down. Nevertheless, Justine Bourgeus’s body of work always finds playful reprieve within these grandiose, charged sentiments.

More substantially than ever, The Writer taps into Tsar B’s deep-seated classical influences. The record features several collaborations with Vienna-based classical vocal ensemble Dionysos Now!.
