Usi ES is the Belgian artist Esther Weemaes. In her attic studio, she weaves synths and samples with her distinctive dark voice.

Her music balances between shadowy and dreamy, feeling like a blanket wrapped around you: soft and heavy at the same time, with frayed edges.

After her first EP Mutiny (2019, in collaboration with Dijf Sanders), she now presents her debut album SideQuest. For this album, she worked with Sanders again, this time as coach, mentor, and mixer.

For fans of Sharon Van Etten’s emotionally raw vocals and Sol Seppy’s dreamy layers.

Usi ES officially presents SideQuest on February 14 at Tinnenpot in Ghent. For this occasion, Esther will be joined by keyboardist Jan Borré, drummer Tom Leyman (Ramkot), and other guest musicians.
