Danny Blue is an Antwerp-based indie rock band that originated in high school, where they first emerged under the name Danny Blue and the Old Socks. The four-piece first began attracting attention in 2017 with the EP ‘Backyard Days’ and fan favourite ‘Belgian Venice’.

In the years that followed, the band played numerous shows in various line-ups. In 2020, they released the EP ‘BOYS’. At the same time, the band members felt an increasing need to explore their own artistic paths, and the COVID period led to a temporary hiatus.

Five years later, Danny Blue returns to its original four-piece line-up. The collective songwriting process is once again at the heart of the band, bringing them closer than ever to their essence. Their renewed sound explores the tension between past and future. Shoegaze textures and grunge catharsis merge with a distinctive indie-rock energy. Dreamy yet raw, nostalgic yet forward-looking. The shortening of the name symbolises this evolution: a conscious step forward, with respect for where it all began.

On 23 October, the band will release a new EP, BLUE. Afterwards, Danny Blue will tour Europe as support for The Clockworks (UK), including a show at Ancienne Belgique.
