Description

'Mermaid Avenue Vol. II' is the second volume of the collaboration between Billy Bragg and Wilco centered around previously unreleased lyrics by Woody Guthrie. Bragg and Wilco wrote new music to accompany his lyrics, combining folk, rock, and alt-country. The album features tracks including 'Airline to Heaven', 'Secret of the Sea', 'Remember the Mountain Bed', and 'All You Fascists'. The recordings are sourced from the same sessions and archives as the first volume. The lyrics cover a wide range of subjects, from political observations and humor to personal themes. This is the 2LP edition on 180-gram black vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve.
