After years of tearing up countless festival stages, Compact Disk Dummies are heading into a well-deserved sabbatical year in 2026. However, sitting still for long is not in the cards for frontman Lennert Coorevits: with his solo project ‘Lenny Lenny’, he confidently kicks open a new musical door. Songs that differed too much from Compact Disk Dummies had recently started piling up on his desk. They are, without exception, soulful, sparse, and—in a way—still—danceable tracks.

Having completely detached himself from the all-important four-to-the-floor kickdrum, Lennert builds a highly personal, eclectic universe with a vintage seventies feel. Dynamics and breathing space: the mission statement nailed above the studio doorframe for this project. Together with producer/mixer Tobie Speleman (Dressed Like Boys, Haunted Youth), Lenny Lenny has just recorded a full album that will be released in spring 2027.

Expect a marriage between Paul McCartney and Childish Gambino, with the playfulness of Beck and the vocal harmonies of Parcels. Live, Lennert is backed by a fantastic band and is fully ready to face a sunny festival summer.
