Overkill, originating from New Jersey, were part of a very buoyant thrash metal scene at the time. 'Under the Influence', originally released in 1987, refined the band's style and sound turning them from an interesting curio into world class contenders.

Originally released in 1988, Under The Influence was Overkill’s 2nd release for Atlantic Records. Reached #142 on Billboard Top 200 and stayed on the chart for 13 weeks. Overkill toured with Motörhead, Slayer, Testament and more to support Under The Influence. Includes the legendary track, “Hello From The Gutter”.
