Description

South African singer Sharon Tandy was a key figure in London's mod and R&B scene in the 1960s. With her powerful, soulful voice, she left an indelible impression. This 12-inch single features two of her most distinctive recordings from 1967. The A-side, "Hold On," is an explosive freakbeat classic that became a favorite on the Northern Soul circuit. The B-side, "Daughter of the Sun," reveals a more psychedelic side, combining her soulful vocals with a dreamy production.
