In 2009, John Mayer released his fourth studio album, Battle Studies, a collection characterized by its confessional, relaxed and liberated tone.
Recorded in a secluded home in California, where Mayer lived and worked for six months, the album's creation culminated at the prestigious Capitol Studios in Los Angeles.

It's debut single, Who Says, boldly challenges conventional standards of accomplishment and ambition in the face of societal constraints. Mayer also enlisted the talents of Taylor Swift to join him on the track Half of My Heart..
