Description

The album "City Life" by legendary jazz-funk ensemble The Blackbyrds, which topped the Billboard jazz charts, is being reissued by Jazz Dispensary Top Shelf! With "Happy Music" and "Rock Creek Park," described by AllMusic as "one of the high points of '70s jazz-funk" and sampled by artists like De La Soul and Nas, the band is at the height of their hitmaking powers.

Cut from the original tapes (AAA) by Kevin Gray, pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI and packaged in a gatefold sleeve.
