Cindy Lee's Malenkost is an album characterized by a unique fusion of heartbreaking romance, gritty noise elements, and atmospheric, melancholic ballads. The sometimes almost ghostly vocals and sparse instrumentation contribute to an intense listening experience that feels emotional and compelling.

Malenkost's genre is best described as a fusion of lo-fi pop, experimental rock, and dream pop, with clear references to the tragedy and aesthetics of pop music from the 1950s and 1960s.
