Under the Bushes Under the Stars is the ninth studio album by American indie rock band Guided by Voices. Some working titles of the album are The World Series of Psychic Phenomena, Plantations of Pale Pink, The Flying Party Is Here and Under the Bushes, under the Trees). Unlike previous albums, Under the Bushes Under the Stars was recorded on 24 tracks. Four producers worked on the album and the recordings took place in as many studios. The last six songs were not originally supposed to appear on the album, but at the insistence of the record company they were included on a 12" EP with the LP and were added to the CD as bonus tracks. The songs were not mentioned on the cover. Ten songs that were written for this album ended up on the 1996 EP Sunfish Holy Breakfast. A rooster named Big Rooster was the inspiration for Don't Stop Now.
