Black Box Revelation, one of Belgium’s most acclaimed rock bands, understand the appeal of making guitars weep, scream or sing – locking into grooves that can move thousands into a frenzy. It has been an enduring quest for the duo of Jan Paternoster (vocals/guitars) and Dries van Dijck (drums). While this fundamental spirit beckons as loud as ever since the group formed two decades ago, the austere march of the digital world tugs just as persistently from the other end.

Black Box Revelation orbit near the center of this cultural cataclysm on their forthcoming self-titled album, out 12/03/2027, boldly seeking out the contrasts between grainy fuzz and 4K resolution. Writing rock music from a more electronically-oriented launchpad rendered the band’s operation in a fresh light. This field of tension manifests gloriously in lead single “STRONGER”, which samples a pitched vocal sample of Paternoster with the group’s familiar blues-inspired rock ‘n’ roll leanings: a song that expresses a ravenous yearning for the real.
