Emerging from Belgium's fertile underground High Hi has methodically carved out a space where atmospheric experimentation and razor-sharp pop sensibilities coexist in perfect equilibrium.

The Antwerp-based trio - Anne-Sophie Ooghe (vocals, guitar), Dieter Beerten (vocals, drums), and Koen Weverbergh (bass) - debuted with a dreamy, shoegaze-infused style that evolved across releases into a nuanced balance of introspection and accessible hooks. Their sonic fingerprint - at once familiar yet impossible to categorize - caught the discerning ear of M83 and tastemaker Steve Lamacq, whose early BBC championing served as international validation. The band's recorded output, particularly the breakthrough "Firepool" and its more ambitious follow-up "Return to Dust" reveals a group consistently pushing boundaries while maintaining accessibility. 

On forthcoming album ‘Noonday Demon’ High Hi sounds like the missing link between the powerhouses of the 80s – a pinch of Fleetwood Mac, a coffee with ABBA, a slice of Springsteen cake –and the artists making noise today – a nip of Chappell Roan and a drop of Lola Young.
