Max Richter's emotional and minimal soundtrack to Damon Lindelof's television series about a post-apocalyptic global event in which 2% of the world's population disappears without explanation is released on vinyl for the first time. Richter's approach explores the main character's familial feelings through intimate music. He addresses this psychological landscape by bringing a ritualistic quality to the score, while the themes of departure and loss are represented by a sense of sonic decay, relying on the instrumentation of a few sounds supported by pianos and harps.
