Description

Legendary South African kwaito pioneer Sandy B has joined forces with versatile Belgian producer soFa elsewhere to create a powerful, politically charged album, released in two parts on S.A.'s ,  Afrosynth Records. With original artwork by Cape Town-based Darren Christian.

Sandy B and soFa elsewhere’s collaboration started in the shadow of ongoing genocide and atrocities in various parts of the world, with a shared conviction: music is political. Both lament the absence of political discourse in today’s electronic music scene, which seems to have forgotten about its original values. Together they’ve channelled this urgency into their work, creating tracks that resonate with defiance, hope and a demand for change. Let's stop polarising and dividing, and let's unite against our common enemies: greed, racism, sexism, religious intolerance and homophobia.

This album represents more than just music; it’s a statement of resistance. With Sandy B’s deep-rooted legacy and soFa elsewhere’s boundary-pushing production, these tracks offer a rallying cry for justice, unity and transformation. May even the most privileged wake up and join the struggle for a better future for all.
