Dean Blunt’s latest semi-unofficial side project is his least inscrutable, featuring 20 minutes of low-key, free-flowing vignettes made largely with guitars, keys, and samples. - Pitchfork

Featuring an image of Lauryn Hill on the cover, Hotep is largely instrumental and combines elements of ’80s R&B, jazz, lounge and soul. However, it’s still very much got Blunt’s signature all over it.
