The Unutterable, the 21st studio album by the iconic post-punk band The Fall, was originally released in 2000.
This double vinyl reissue marks the 25th anniversary of this critically acclaimed album and is a tribute to the band that has been making music continuously since 1976. Founded in Manchester, The Fall revolved primarily around founder and sole constant member Mark E. Smith.
The music is characterized by an abrasive, guitar-driven sound and repetitive structure, all supported by Smith's distinctive vocals and often cryptic lyrics. Although the band never achieved mainstream success, they enjoyed a strong cult following and were the favorite band of legendary BBC DJ John Peel, who famously described the band with the words: "They are always different; they are always the same."
