BOY Records was founded by Michael Zosel in 1987. After a handful of early releases, he began working closely with producer Arno Müller, a partnership that would help shape the label's distinctive sound and success.
The breakthrough came with Absurd's "Brian", the first techno release on BOY Records and an instant success within the German techno scene. Further hits followed with singles by Hypnopedia and New Scene, establishing BOY Records as a respected name in clubs and charts throughout Germany and beyond.
In 1990, the label scored another major success with Deep Thought's "Kennedy". From that point on, BOY Records became synonymous with quality techno, releasing one classic after another by artists such as Time Modem, "O", Cybex Factor, Sonic System, Structure, and many more.
"Timeless Technology 1988-1991" brings together 24 essential tekkno traxx from the label's golden era, documenting the sound and spirit of one of Germany's most influential early techno imprints.
Techno is the Future. Techno is Now.
