Following "Life & Death On A New York Dance Floor," "Love Saves The Day: A History of American Dance Music (1970-79)" is released, a compilation based on the book of the same name by London author and party promoter Tim Lawrence. It features legendary soul and funk tracks that contributed significantly to the emergence of disco and were played over and over again by the DJs of the era (David Mancuso, Michael Cappello, Steve D'Acquisto, Francis Grasso, Richie Kaczor, Larry Levan, Nicky Siano). LP Pt. 1 includes tunes by James Brown, the Jackson 5, Gladys Knight, Chuck Mangione, and Wilson Pickett, as well as a 12" print supplement with line notes by Tim Lawrence.
